Plot summary

A young couple desperate to have a child begins treatment at a renowned doctor’s secluded facility. Danny and Marie are hopeful when their last ditch application for the exclusive “Lands Institute” is accepted. They are pampered as they settle into their therapeutic regimen which includes the Doctors unique “homeopathic remedies”. They lose track of time as psychological side effects begin to warp their perceptions of what is happening at the institute.

The movie did really well in picking an

The movie did really well in picking an attractive cast to get the "visual stimulations" going for the audience. So this movie probably is getting a higher rating than it should for that reason. The acting seemed off by both the husband (main character) and the doctor. The husband was too reserved during what should have been more intense realizations. He found out he was being watched while having intercourse in what's supposed to be a medical facility to help them conceive... I really didn't sense the outrage to match the gravity of that situation. The doctor had the opposite problem, raised his voice too much and was too physically aggressive. Would have been better to been more stoic (he was already stoic but more so), more stone faced, more reserved, more cold blooded... to really sell the idea that he's a genius mixed with sexually sadistic insanity. The movie also tried to mix a sci-fi component with this film towards the ending which just didn't add value to what the whole movie has been building this time. It already went the direction that the doctor was some into voyeurism, and instead of amplifying that, it added surreal sci fi stuff that didn't match the build up of the entire movie. This movie should have been strictly a horror movie, with slightly better acting, and would have been a much, much better movie.
