Plot summary

Daisy's task as a new maid to a wealthy family is to watch over a young kid, but unknowingly she's being watched by the kid's father. When temptation kicks in Daisy and the wealthy family's lives start to shatter in pieces.

The Housemaid (2021) is an absolute disaster of a film that fails on nearly every level. The story is flat, predictable, and utterly devoid of suspense or intrigue, making the entire viewing experience feel like an exercise in tedium. The director’s approach leaves each scene lifeless, with zero tension or credibility, and the pacing drags endlessly. The screenplay compounds the problem, offering a shallow plot with recycled tropes and no compelling twists or emotional stakes. Acting is uniformly subpar; none of the cast delivers performances that feel genuine or engaging, leaving the characters hollow and forgettable. Visuals and cinematography provide no lift, emphasizing the blandness rather than adding atmosphere. Compared to other adaptations, this version collapses under its own mediocrity, making it a forgettable, tedious watch that fails to justify its existence in any meaningful way.

Do not waste your time on this movie

The storyline was trash. The actors and actresses were good but it was a badly written script. I wastes my time watching this please don't be like me.
