Very wholesome movie. And the fact he gave away the meditations as Christmas gifts was a great idea.

Alexander Payne is one of the best Greek filmmakers of our time, up there with other Greek filmmakers like George Miller (Mad Max: The Road Warrior) and George P. Cosmatos (Tombstone). I definitely recommend this film, boys

Just wow. this movie was far more than I expected. Being a big fan of Wes Anderson and Martin Scorses,I'll watch the occasional drama film, but typically, horror/psychological thrillers, war films, documentaries are my go-to's. This film however, exceeded any expectations i had and I would definitely watch again. I'ts a keeper. it has depth, feeling, and the way it was shot so nostalgically as if actually filmed in the 70's is just right on point. This could be one of Giamatti's best acting works ever. High praise for the character he played in this.

This was surprisingly good. The cast was exceptional, especially Giamatti. One of his best performances. I found it very funny at times, and emotional at others. I think this will be a cult classic in several years.

Really enjoyed this. Giamattti is in fine form, and what a performance from newcomer Dominic Sessa. Late in the year, but ranks up in some of the best for 2023.

I downloaded the 720p web version and FYI... the file is completely OK. The film itself is a very good film also.

This is a first-rate drama with a few laughs scattered around the story. Definitely one of the best films of the year. I also liked how they used a very 1970s style of camera work and transitions (manual pans, zooms, and fades). Not only does the movie take place in 1970-1971, it looks like it was made in the early 70s.

I guess cultures and diversity are bad for a lot of you. If you don't want to see people of color and other cultures watch Eastern European movies or old classic movies. Oh even those movies have black people, as servants.

How is it a comedy? It’s boring and depressing! Absolutely overrated! It doesn’t make you laugh, it doesn’t make you cry, just drag on and on.
