The Haunted House on Kirby Road had the

The Haunted House on Kirby Road had the potential to be a creepy, engaging horror film, but it ultimately falls flat. The premise—a group of kids entering a haunted house—is classic and promising, yet the execution is slow and methodical, leaving the suspense largely absent. Scenes drag without purpose, and the story fails to build tension or stakes, making the scares feel weak and predictable. The screenplay is inconsistent, with dialogue and plot points that meander, preventing the haunted house or the characters from becoming compelling. The casting is decent but unremarkable. The young actors are believable enough, but they lack chemistry and depth, which makes it hard to invest in their fates. The director struggles with pacing, letting some scenes linger while rushing important moments. Visuals and atmosphere are underutilized, and the horror elements—jump scares and eerie encounters—rarely have impact.

Holy effin eff!!! This movie sucked soooo bad!!! Look, I never bother with leaving ratings but seriously, this is a spectacular disaster!!! Surprised they didn’t try clear eye to fight the demon off… Script, actors, filming, effects…. Absolutely nothing works, my 9 yo daughter makes better scripted movies!!! Waste of time for anyone even thinking of watching it!!!
