This film prob fares better now than it

This film prob fares better now than it did at the time of release because it provides a time capsule for rural America in 1969. It gives us a snapshot of postwar societal disillusion mostly of how we are supposed to fit into society & explores the mindset of what our purpose is in the middle class. We get that perspective from both woman and man, plus generationally. Beyond that, the special effects are a little dated but still interesting especially as they were shot in the “groovy” style of the time. The performances were also good & all the nudity was a well, compelling & a surprising aspect that may or may not be relevant to anything. All in all, it’s worth a watch for those who like vintage films. Those who don’t will likely struggle with it.
