This is a great sequel and continues the original story in a cool way, focusing on the best character from the first flick and the aftermath of opening a neighborhood hell-gate.

I was a huge fan of the original Gate since I was a kid and consider it a classic. This is why I was completely surprised find there was a sequel that I somehow never knew about. First, you must understand this is obviously a lower budget film than the original and the acting is not great. That being said the claymation is pretty great and there's a decent amount of it. The plot too is a pretty good continuation of the first film. If you are a fan of the original film, and schlocky but entertaining horror from the 80s/90s, definitely check out Gate II.
