Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

My favourite film of all time. Every line is a gem. Matthau to Benzinger:"Sure that's your name?" And to Lemmon "you're going to make a fortune writing lines for Rin Tin Tin!" Plus of course the final scene where Walter Burns asks the telegraph man to arrest Lemmon " the damn fool stole my watch"

I remain unconvinced that this rewrite was necessary

I remain unconvinced that this rewrite was necessary, especially if you're sticking with the original plot rather than reworking it (i.e. "His Girl Friday") to a dramatic degree. The new dialogue slows this all down which is really disappointing.
