The basic story is sympathetic, then the script

The basic story is sympathetic, then the script introduces more and more complications and unlikely situations. For example, the young man is not a recluse unable to relate to people his age. He chooses to be with the older woman, so it doesn’t make sense that if he wants a partner of his own age he will select her daughter.

C'est mal

Amateurish acting, weak plot, full of cliches. Anticlimactic ending. I was ready to learn but the French Teacher had little to offer

Nothing of interest

Plot is boring. Very little to hold interest. The film shows as basically two separate halves. Some really noticeable bad editing. Script and acting is bad in many spots.

Movie tries to be an art film, but it comes across as cheesy instead. Trying to hard
