One of my favorite films. It is a must watch at Christmas. Ed Burns creates a world that feels real and moves us through the struggles of a family dealing with grief and forgiveness. It reminds me to get out of my own way, and to remember to open my heart to forgive and forget.

Excruciatingly slow. The acting was not great alot of the time. The storylines were painfully predictable. The last 60 seconds of the movie was moving and will stay with me for awhile...but I won't watch it again and wish I hadn't wasted my time watching it the first time.

It was very entertaining and I've liked Edward Burns since The Brothers McMullen in the mid 80s. I laughed a few times enjoying some of the clever lines including Hey Santa Watch Yourself Going Down The Chimney!! It's a grown-up Christmas film with lots of chaos and conflict amongst the glad tidings.
