Plot summary

True story of Kent Stock, who in the early '90s gives up a job and ditches his wedding plans to take over as head coach of the Norway High School baseball team. Kent must win over his players and convince them and himself that he can fill their former coach's shoes and that they can go out winners. In the summer of 1991 Norway High's baseball tradition ended on a triumphant but sombre note.

Enough cheese here to make a nacho! And

Enough cheese here to make a nacho! And that's not a good thing. For the life of me, I sure can't figure out how this movie gets a 6.5 rating on IMDB. Did I miss something? Usually a bad movie that gets a good grade is due to the friends and family of the filmmaker voting on it. And the films are viewed by a handful of folks. But this got a ton of votes. I just don't get it. That said, I have to say just about everything about this film is a cliche. The acting is just so so. The writing is dreadful. And the cinematography and score are barely passable. It's another of those films that I just had to stop halfway through and scream "UNCLE!!!" You've been warned. There are a ton of great sports movies out there. Unfortunately, this isn't one of them.
