I debated only given this 3 and a half stars because of it's length. Two hours and thirty minutes is a long time. But, i found the film engrossing and it felt like i was right there experiencing everything myself.

Lane Smith does the best ever impersonation of

Lane Smith does the best ever impersonation of Nixon, followed up with generally good performances from the rest of the cast. Perhaps it's too long, and some scenes are unnecessary to underline Nixon's character, like his relation to Brezhnev. However, it's well executed cinematografically, with a credible dramatization of the events.

Great movie about the end of Nixon’s presidency

Great movie about the end of Nixon’s presidency. I read the book which details Nixon’s final year in office with meticulous detail. The movie is easily the best book to movie production I’ve ever seen. Obviously the book contains more details than the movie but all of the main points are a covered. Lane Smith played a perfect Richard Nixon. He absolutely nailed the part. Watching Pat Nixon and her daughters in the movie was almost like watching a newsreel. They looked exactly like the real people. You can watch it free on YouTube and Tubi!
