For a horror flick, they had some scary

For a horror flick, they had some scary moments a lot of blood some guts do you want to get scared for you horror friends out there the movie does a pretty good job but what really sucks is the storyline and it's very very controlled. It seems like it's controlled in one area there's not a lot of outside variance going on. It's inside most of it one apartment it's a little doll but the creature effects are pretty decent. I give you three stars not bad for something just get a little scare on and not waste much more than eight dollars.

A pretty solid effort, if intentional

Based on the trailer I was expecting a pretty bad movie, and it was. But the writing and performances were so bad it's good. I have a feeling the movie was made this way intentionally, much like The VelociPastor. The dialogue from the leads and the priest had me laughing a lot. The best acting in the film is the detective, but mostly facial expressions over delivery. The cinematography and sound design was actually pretty good, at parts. Almost too good for the kind of movie this was. The vfx aren't great, but also better than I expected. The pizza boy saves this movie from being the complete mess I expected to experience. Every line of his got a chuckle from me.Indie films are not easy to make, so if you know your movie isn't going to be perfect, embrace its flaws. The Evil Rises did that.
