Plot summary

After his best friend disappears, Tom Edwards world unravels when he’s investigated relentlessly by a dogged detective. All signs point to Tom as the prime suspect except for the strange and unexplainable events that follow Tom. Meanwhile, tensions rise between Tom and his girlfriend, Jamie, as they hide the truth from each other, from the detective and both realize things aren’t what they seem. Is there really something sinister out in the woods surrounding their quiet town, or is Tom covering for an unspeakable crime? The truth is violently revealed.

Beginning made no sense even after the movie

Beginning made no sense even after the movie got going. Middle was okay, but boring and kept me thinking okay, what does this have to do with the opening, ending left me thinking what was that?? There was no connection between the opening, middle and conclusion. Can't recommend.

The film had all the elements of a first-rate psychological thriller, including a couple of good goose-bump moments, but it ultimately failed to deliver on its potential. Certain scenes and flashbacks cleverly contributed to the storyline, but too many other scenes and flashbacks were pointless and left me saying, "Whaaat?" and "Huh???" The confusing opening 25-minute sequence was much too long and was never fully explained. In the end I was left wondering what it was I just watched.
