Plot summary
In 1950s Australia, beautiful, talented dressmaker Tilly returns to her tiny hometown to right wrongs from her past. As she tries to reconcile with her mother, she starts to fall in love while transforming the fashion of the town.

This movie was very different. I really enjoyed watching it. It had all the elements of romance, revenge, and snotty ass people. As a woman you can relate to why she would want to go back where it all started. So many twists and turns you didn't see coming. I was very intrigued. Cannot wait to introduce this movie to friends.
As with other Australian films - The Dressmaker is a little odd. The love story between the two lead characters only seems odd when you think of the age difference. However I still loved this movie and might I say - Hugo Weaving was born to play crossdressing roles :)
