The Dirties" is a film I admire because

"The Dirties" is a film I admire because it got under my skin with very little. The movie uses the found footage style to its advantage and by the time the tense and disturbing finale comes around, I was just left uneasy. The movie does tackle challenging topics that aren't going to be easy for some to take in, but I do think there is a cautionary tale woven in here. I think it could spark some interesting discussions and also remind me that you don't need fancy effects or crazy camerawork to tell an effective human story. Overall, it is a neat little movie that does feel draining at times, but also creates tension in many moments and just pure discomfort, while also being inspiring from a filmmaking standpoint.
