Plot summary

A group of friends decide to renovate an old house located in the middle of nowhere, in the hope of turning it into their crash pad, but shortly after arriving, a strange and seemingly senile old woman is found to be lurking around the premises.

I usually like watching cheesy '80s horror, but this one was bad.

Beware of lil' old demonic zombie-lady!

This film clearly suffers from multiple personality syndrome! Not only does it have three titles ("The House on Tombstone Hill", "The Dead Come Home", and the incredibly silly "Dead Dudes in the House") but it also doesn't know exactly what it wants to be. A slasher? Or a demonic horror flick?I, for one, think the movie is more like "The Evil Dead" than "Friday the 13th" or any other slasher. Seven "friends" want to renovate an old and abandoned house, but their disrespectful vandalism awakes the previous owner from the dead. She was apparently a murderous elderly lady and immediately starts killing off the group. The dead come back to life and in turn start hunting down the survivors as well.Despite the high death toll, "The House on Tombstone Hill" is incredibly boring and tension-free. None of the characters deserve any sympathy, most of the kills are uninspired and take place in dark rooms. The infamous Troma studios picked up the film for distribution and added the lousy title "Dead Dudes in the House". It is a mystery to me why Troma was interested in this film, because there is hardly any gore and there certainly isn't sleaze or nudity.
