I'm Colombian and grew up hearing the tails of the patasola. I was super excited about the movie because she truly is a horrific character. This movie was such a huge disappointment. From the beginning scene when they're having that ridiculous argument to the rest of the movie which was generic bad horror. Just a waste of time. They should have probably consulted with somebody who actually knew about the tale.

Jaysus H. Krispies this one smells worse than the supposed catfish they catch during the all-too-dull build up. Dislikable characters all around (you'll end up rooting for the cgi hag thingy) and a plot that could be better put together by a grade schooler. It is...BAD.
