Lotta hate coming at this movie. Gonna start

Lotta hate coming at this movie. Gonna start with the budget and cast was not huge, but its an indie film. Don't expect Marvel level costuming, staging, or CGI. The cast was appropriately sized to the setting. The pacing was more that of a small Euro film. The film showed fair examples of loss and grief, diverse religious representation (large euro following for druidic and Norse pegan practices), nuanced approach to Catholic/Christian rule in both horror films and what is right and appropriate in Western society, and not a shallow approach to the "monster" but refreshingly allows the viewer to sympathize the antagonist from a humane standpoint. Also, stunning choice of physical setting. Again, not a crazy budget thrown at the film, but if have even a hobby amount of interest in Western European history and/or world religion studies, the viewer will appreciate the film.

SPOILERS Where do I begin with the crucifix

SPOILERS Where do I begin with the crucifix? why does no one in this movie? Call the cops why does the electricity only work in the daytime but in the night they need a candle to go around their house how did the main character go back in time randomly in the middle of the movie and as a granola eating pee, protein, soy carpet of a man named Fergus what kind of name is Fergus? It’s somehow gonna beat a Viking warrior in combat with a sword that he got from party city and a trashcan and shield is what it looks like at the end of the movie they decide to worship Odin even though he made them kill a random priest for no reason and the whole movie you think that this guy is gonna cheat on his wife, but it turns out the girl is his cousin and the whole thing to set up and he’s impotent. Overall, this movie is garbage. I think Moonfall might be a better movie. Garbage actually takes offense to being compared to this terrible awful movie. What kind of name is Fergus?

The Crucifix fails to deliver as a horror

The Crucifix fails to deliver as a horror film, despite its intriguing premise of a demonic presence tied to a crucifix. The story struggles to engage, with weak pacing and a lack of suspense making it difficult to connect with the narrative or the characters. The screenplay is inconsistent, with flat dialogue and repetitive moments that drain any tension the film attempts to build. Acting is uneven, with some performers overacting while others appear disengaged, leaving the characters unrelatable and unconvincing. Direction and technical execution further hinder the experience, as the cinematography, editing, and sound design fail to create effective scares or atmosphere. Scenes meant to be climactic or intense feel flat and underwhelming, and the overall tone of the film lacks cohesion. While the premise had potential, The Crucifix ends up as a forgettable, shallow horror film that neither entertains nor frightens, leaving viewers disappointed and disengaged.
