Surreal, one-of-a-kind film with unparalleled visuals; excellent flow, style, and pacing; and a gripping story. I can't see the validity in the classic criticism that it was "style over substance." On the contrary, it deals with heavy themes. It's certainly not for the whole family or for the faint of heart. But "The Cell" stands apart. The tragedy is the massive loss of fidelity from the way the film was put together in post production. However, if you can get a copy of the 2025 open-matte Alternate Version, it has quite an increase in detail and grading quality, the trade-off being the loss of the theatrical 2.4:1 aspect ratio. 8/10.

@mcgovan just uploaded one to opensubtitles.

Super underrated movie, the visuals are so incredible.

Embeded subs don't work on my tv. Anyone has srt file?

Underrated movie. The acting wasn't the best, & a better cast could've been chosen, but the plot was great & the concept original. I loved the artistry & the psychology behind the antagonist's character development. 7.5 - 8/10
