The Boneyard (1991) Great Make-up (12,134 – 16 Dec 2025 – Claudio Carvalho) When three kids are found murdered with remains of human flesh in their stomachs. Detectives Jersey Callum (Ed Nelson) and Gordon Mullin (James Eustermann) visit Callum’s acquaintance, the psychic Alley Oates (Deborah Rose). He asks for help from her since he has no lead to follow. Alley reluctantly accepts and goes with them to the morgue, where Coroner Shepard (Norman Fell) made the autopsy. Soon they discover that the kids are indeed zombies and the suicidal Dana (Denise Young) is still alive. There is havoc in the morgue, and the survivors are trapped in a room. "The Boneyard" (1991) is a funny B-movie with great make-up. The story, screenplay and acting are reasonable and silly, but the make-up is excellent. My vote is six. The Boneyard has a strong premise—a police chief

The Boneyard has a strong premise—a police chief and a psychic teaming up to uncover murdered children—but the execution collapses almost immediately. The screenplay is filled with plot holes, weak structure, and endless dialogue that replaces actual tension. Instead of building suspense, the story drifts aimlessly, never capitalizing on the eerie setup it promises. The director struggles to shape the material into anything gripping, relying on flat scenes with no atmosphere or momentum. The casting only makes matters worse, as the performances are stiff, emotionless, and never compelling enough to carry a mystery-driven horror film. None of the characters become memorable or engaging, and the movie never finds a rhythm. What could have been a chilling, character-driven thriller ends up being a dull, unfocused mess that fails to entertain, frighten, or intrigue. This is one horror film that’s easy to skip.
