no subtitles ?

@ELJAB0L Such an npc thing to say

someone somewhere will find subtitles for this... eventally

@mfnmbvp thanks - I was kind of hoping it wasn't that, but I guess I was being too optimistic. Frames these self-aggrandising 0-to-hero interviews in a whole different light...

If anything, The Blair Witch Project should serve as a primer to educate the dangers of the inexperienced and overconfident, entering into the wilderness. The Witch is just an allegory for the dangers of extreme dehydration and starvation one might face while getting hopelessly lost. It should be shown in schools along with "Red Asphalt."

The only thing remarkable about this movie is the amount of money it made. What an uninspired snooze fest. It's just people breaking down in the woods filmed with a camcorder. With snot in the camcorder. That happens in the film and is a perfect allegory for it. Just snot in a camcorder.

Worth a watch. If you were not around when this film first came out, you can not fully appreciate how incredible this movie really was. When I went to the theatre in Santa Monica to watch The Blair Witch, the movie was sold out, people were sitting in the isles, on the floor. We all thought that this was a real documentary.

need spanish subs please

@hakotoko they are in a long ongoing dispute with Lionsgate over 20 years of royalties that they are owed and have never been paid.

Bit longish, but interesting method-acting project. Given the focus on the actors' improvisational input, anyone know why none are interviewed?

@rayanthonysouth Not too far off, but a little die-hard. This was revolutionary for the 1st person perspective, but it also made people sick from motion sickness. I personally feel like Blair Witch was 1 of the last vestiges of imagination horror (that's what made it a hit)

Only the real fans who were there to experience the unfolding of this legendary film will truly appreciate this documentary. Blair Witch was truly the first of it's kind - no matter what anyone tells you - no one had any real confirmation that the film was all fictional because it was the first of it's kind. Blair Witch was the first film to use the "realistic" film style. It truly paved the way to future films like the Paranormal Activity franchise.

great 1999 memories
