Plot summary

To the Los Angeles elite, Ford Fairlane is known as "Mr. Rock 'n' Roll Detective." This loudmouthed ladies' man serves an exclusive rock star clientele, who depend on his keen eye and smug discretion. So when a heavy-metal musician dies mid-concert, Fairlane is on the case before the lights come up. But things turn shocking when radio personality Johnny Crunch hires Fairlane to find a missing groupie mere hours before he is electrocuted live on air.

I like this as a "so bad that it goes all the way around and becomes good again" movie. The character of Ford Fairlane does the near impossible act of being incredibly irritating but never to a point where I want to stop watching. He only works in this movie, in his own universe in which is the main character though. How Mr. Clay played this character as a comedian and gained success I will probably never understand. Some things could only happen in the 80s/90s. I only watch it because it won a Razzie award, which might be a bit harsh considering the slop that Hollywood produced.

A really funny movie if you enjoy crude

A really funny movie if you enjoy crude humour and grew up when the Dice Man was making everyone crack up in the early 90’s. Lots of gorgeous women to look at as well….The good old days when women aspired to look like beautiful beach babes.
