This movie was so funny. There was just

This movie was so funny. There was just something charming about all the cast that really gave it life. It’s so out of pocket lmao they did a really good job with cinematography. This is a film I may have to watch every thanksgiving to relive the many antics in this movie. It felt like friends that wanted to make a movie together or something and that’s what made it fun I think. It’s a roller coaster ride for sure. Had to make a review after watching because it exceeded expectations and must have been the most unique film I’ve seen in a while that, while not having the biggest budget really managed to tell stories and keep it chaotic throughout. Good job on this one.

An independent, low-budget, Tubi-original-caliber film... but I didn't hate it nearly as much as I expected

I recently watched Thanksgiving Roast (2021) on Tubi. The storyline follows a couple as the boyfriend hopes to move forward with marriage, but the girlfriend insists he must first meet her family. She takes him home for Thanksgiving and he quickly discovers why she wanted that introduction before making any big decisions...This picture is written and directed by Trey Walker (A Naughty Christmas Story) and stars Chaka Balamani (A Christmas Bonus), Sullie Choudhury (Models Wanted), Olivia Keu (Kingdom Reign), and Tray Chaney (The Wire).My favorite aspect of this movie is that it was filmed in Washington, D. C. and Prince George's County, Maryland-I especially loved the inclusion of Iverson Mall. The writing is a bit inconsistent, the comedy lands more often as a miss than a hit, and the acting is uneven. There are some gorgeous women in the cast and a few fun stripper scenes, but I have no idea where all those prostitutes needing bathroom breaks suddenly came from. The fiancé absolutely nails his performance and is genuinely funny. However, involving both sets of in-laws felt like a stretch, as did the character who thinks he's a dog.In conclusion, Thanksgiving Roast is an independent, low-budget, Tubi-original-caliber film... but I didn't hate it nearly as much as I expected. I'd score this one a 3/10.

Thanksgiving Roast was a very nice film on my opinion

There is one thing that I really feel like saying. It is that "Thanksgiving Roast" was a very nice film in my opinion. The reason why I believe this is because I really admired the acting performances from all the actors, especially that of Tray Chaney whom portrayed as the main protagonist Preston, a man that reluctantly met his fiancee Madison's wild family as a means of trying to get married to her. My favourite scene in this film was the one which involved a disrespectful little girl named Amaya whom got her comeuppance after she was very disrespectful to her mother whom only wanted some hot sauce & what made it funny was whilst the girl got a spanking, 2 of her adult relatives were outside the room, reacting to it in comedic ways. I remember watching this film for the very first time back in 2024 & it was cool plus I'm also glad that I got a chance to rewatch it this year. It was NEVER even stupid at all.
