Plot summary

An elderly and feared moneylender from a village near Madurai falls seriously ill, prompting her estranged sons and extended family to reunite after years of separation. DISPLAYED TRUE FORM OF INDEPENDENCY AND SELF-CONFIDENT NATURE OF WOMEN. Sivakumar Murugesan's Thaai Kizhavi shares a few similarities with both Balagam and Ram Prasad Ki Tervi. The family dynamics with selfish sons is a done to death trope.
