A man whose son is kidnapped finds his emotions overwhelming him and altering his body. I thought the first film was an enjoyable bonkers film. However, Body Hammer is too relentless, too visceral, and overwhelming in it's presentation. I have much respect for the practical effects and the switch to 35mm film stock is interesting but found it too frantic for my tastes. The soundtrack doesn't help. It's metallic noise woven with the visual violence. I'll eagerly re-watch Iron Man but this one, despite including stronger themes such as family trauma, left me cold.

La secuela de Tetsuo es una mejora con

La secuela de Tetsuo es una mejora con más historia, aunque no deja de ser frenética y bizarra como su predecesora. Esta película se siente como una historia en solitario con personajes distintos, pero ofrece algo que sirve para explicar de donde provinieron estos seres humano-máquina. Todo va con base en un experimento para crear seres que puedan ser usados como arma y Taniguchi es usado como cobayo para el experimento. A diferencia de la película anterior, esta va más orientada a la acción y se puede sentir una vibra de manga y anime. Los efectos especiales son igual de buenos que en la película anterior. Esta entrega mantiene la visión de la película anterior, aunque desligándose del terror. Tiene un par de incógnitas y defectos incluyendo el extraño final y las actuaciones son igual de exageradas que en la película anterior. Tetsuo II: Body Hammer es una buena película japonesa que ofrece más del alocado universo de Tetsuo. Mi calificación para esta película es un 8/10.

Much better than the first, and definetly the

Much better than the first, and definetly the one i would rather pick to watch when available. Iit actually has a storyline unlike the first, and it's very good. The pratical effects are just as amazing as the first and never lets it down.
