Plot summary

A happily married couple has been trying to have a baby with no luck. They discover that the husband is sterile. Their family doctor suggests that they think about artificial insemination, which at the time was considered a scandalous choice.

While I was a bit disappointed that this

While I was a bit disappointed that this film wasn't a batshit crazy propaganda film like most of the other films in Mill Creek Entertainment's Cult Classics collection, Test Tube Babies is still a fascinating look into yesteryear regarding the topic of artifical insemination. It's more of an educational film about the subject, but that's not to say it doesn't have some campy moments like cheesy acting and dialogue, as well as a random cat fight that results in a woman losing her top in the process. In the end it's mostly not a crazy film, but it still has its random moments. It's an interesting film worth checking out as some sort of weird time capsule.
