Plot summary

Ethan Tell is a small time crook who makes a big-time score when he steals 1 million dollars. Ironically, his life radically changes for the worst when he discovers that stealing the money was the easy part and he now must keep his partner, his wife, his parole officer, and two corrupt detectives from stealing it from him.

This low budget (1M) character-driven darkly-comedic thriller has great writing, an extremely talented cast and was shot beautifully. It was only held back by an inept newbie director who, when faced with a tight shooting schedule, panicked and literally RIPPED 14 PAGES OF THE SCREENPLAY OUT AT RANDOM in order to stay on schedule during filming. TELL is still well worth watching for its clever dialogue, plot twists, and great performances by the cast.

Tell is pretty much your standard direct DVD

Tell is pretty much your standard direct DVD movie. The film had plenty of action and the performances are entertaining in the film does have a very good cast. The story however is a bit of cliched predictable in Parts, and a few pacing issues. It's not bad but it's not amazing either.
