I enjoyed rewatching this movie, remembering it from my childhood. A fun romp through the jungle. I did however find it difficult getting past the ever changing size of the boat. From a small rowing boat to a cavernous river vessel when filmed from the inside. Artistic license has its limits… I've always feared quicksand and this was the film that started it!

Perhaps no longer worthy of the name, this late 50s Tarzan offering is still a decent jungle adventure with capable action, a more literate and verbose Tarzan than most adaptations, and decent casting, with an early role for Connery.
