Plot summary

Due to sudden deteriorating weather conditions, visibility on the Airport Bridge is severely impaired, leaving people stranded and at risk of the bridge collapsing due to a series of chain collisions and explosions. Amidst the chaos, the canine subjects "Echo" from the military experiment "Project Silence," who were being transported in secret, break free, and all human survivors become targets of relentless attacks.

Project Silence is, in essence, a Korean Cujo

Project Silence is, in essence, a Korean Cujo, with a few extra's. First off, there's the attack dogs, military experiments, who have gone awry. Its no a bad start, helped by the addition of disaster film tropes such as really bad car pile up's, crashing helicopters, negative weather conditions and more. Taken as whole, the result is a decent horror/disaster mash up. The characterisations even have some depth, which further adds to the appeal. In summary, whilst not outstanding Project Silence overcomes the obvious downside, associated with what is, a limited concept by cleverly bringing together enough varied elements, to make this film inherently watchable. Certainly worth a look.

No real thrill or suspense, so why bother watching?

The South Koreans are masters at making riveting and vicious crime dramas and action thrillers. I have been binge watching them for months now, BUT this is not one of those great Korean movies, this is actually below average...The bad: the special effects look silly. The attacking dogs are meant to be frightening looking, but they actually look laughable, because of cheap CGI. The WHOLE plot of this movie, the WHOLE core of this movies' existence goes down the drain, because these wild dogs look so incredibly SILLY and fake.NO thrill. NO riveting action. NO good drama or acting. NO jokes. This is quite bad for Korean movie standards. Not a total flop for sure, but way below what they are capable of producing in South Korea. Such a pity!

A Dog's revenge.

Hundreds of people get stuck on the airport bridge when thick fog causes a huge car pile-up. We follow Jeong-won and his daughter Kyeong-min, golf player Yoo-ra and her tour operator Mi-ran, an elderly couple Byeong-hak and Soon-ok (who suffers from Alzheimers), and truck driver Jo Park (who mainly serves as comic relief) as they deal with their situation.Soon after the accident mutated dogs escape from the truck they were being transported in. Dogs were experimented on to be used for infiltration purposes for the military, but the dogs eventually became too aggressive. Doctor Yang, the project manager who is also trapped on the bridge, activates the dogs remotely, but also finds himself in a life-threatening situation when the dogs become out of control.As the dogs start attacking people, it becomes a quest for survival for our heroes. To make matters worse, the badly damaged bridge is on the verge of collapse. The film had the potential to be a lot more suspenseful, but I guess they didn't want it too serious, so there's plenty of humour so the film can appeal to a wider audience. Some of the action sequences are well done, although the visual effects are not the greatest and the dogs are clearly CGI. This is still a very entertaining movie, so get the popcorn ready and enjoy this rollercoaster thrill ride.
