the movie is pretty good as entertainment, and probably has similarities to a lot of real life situations, but only in terms of narrative. these people don't act anything like restaurant workers, and the drug dealers don't act like drug dealers. the inaccuracies pile up as the film goes on, but don't necessarily ruin my enjoyment. a few peeves: the protagonist would not have taken money from students 2 seconds after the superintendent walked past and glared at her, she could easily have walked into a corner or something at the very least. absolutely no cashier working at a drug front is going to send a random delivery driver into a drug cookup just because they are bored or annoyed with the people in the back. they would be at best fired and at worst tortured and shot. while in the store, the restaurant employees are spending a lot of time standing around bickering or doing nothing while talking about how they are in a rush instead of being pictured doing any actual work. in a real restaurant people are generally moving all the time unless they are on a break, and they most definitely do not argue in front of customers, at least not in english when they speak other languages fluently. if the director wanted the workers to behave that way, they could just do it in a back room or at least when there are no customers present to preserve realism. the fact that the protagonist is photographing every drug dealer in town is a predictable and totally ridiculous plot device as well. absolutely no one would allow that, they would smash your phone and throw it in a lake. the fact that there was no chekhov's gun follow up even though she did get stopped by police was kind of disappointing. the pacing for the reveal that the kingpin guy was her father was a little weird, especially since he looked far more like the other siblings than the protagonist, and the girl who looks most like him was the one on camera the whole time he was talking. overall i am having a decent time with this movie, but it's a fairy tale and is not fully representative of the type of real life adversity it covers.

Movie was ?. The girl besides being an amazing actress was gorgeous. The story was better then I thought it was going to be. It was like a high budget modern hood movie that deserves at least 4 stars. I was shocked how good it turned out. Like another reviewer said I wish it was longer.
