Take Care of Maya is an absolutely heart-wrenching

Take Care of Maya is an absolutely heart-wrenching documentary that’s difficult to watch at times, yet incredibly important. The film dives into the emotional devastation surrounding Maya Kowalski’s medical battle and the fallout that followed, creating a story that feels tragic from beginning to end. More than anything, it serves as a powerful piece of awareness about rare illness, family separation, and the human cost of systems failing people in crisis. It’s emotional, frustrating, and deeply painful—but also impossible to ignore. This one hurts, but it’s absolutely worth watching.

BS. Her mom horribly committed suicide and Maya

BS. Her mom horribly committed suicide and Maya is obviously better. I don’t believe the family. Greed ensues. Poor children are abused everyday and this film is irrelevant and personally I found it money fueled.

A very overwhelming documentary. The hospital is definitely negligent. A sick child should never be kept as a prisoner, away from its parents for so long. My heart goes out to Maya, Jack and Kyle for what they have been through. I can’t imagine what the children with their parent still in prisons are going through. No child should endure this kind of torture by the hospital system. Hospitals are there to save lives, not take lives.
