Plot summary

Wiley and Sandra have been happily married for years and are now in the process of breaking up. Sam, his childhood friend, is just beginning to fall in love with a new teacher at the high school. As they try to adjust to these conflicting emotions they find themselves having to evaluate their own relationship as well.

Bland comedy-drama which misses in several key areas. It's a stretch to begin with that anyone as smart and lively as Susan Sarandon's character would put up with the selfish jackass that Don Johnson plays let along long for him to return.

Sweethearts dance with each other but also the hearts in us all Jeff Daniels, Elizabeth Perkins, Susan Sarandon, and Don Johnson Director Robert Greenwald focuses on 4 people; Sandra, Wiley, Sam, and Adie Two of them used to be married but are estranged, the other two find each other and are bound to fall in love With the seasons changing in this small Vermont town friendships and relationships are tested Each of these people needs to figure out what they really want out of life and each other Time causes love to be such a mess, each member needs to work on it but also themselves, is marriage the fastest route to happiness or the most convenient? The film is more about Sarandon and Johnson’s characters attempting to save their happiness This evokes the feel of each season passing by making you experience the cold and warmth of the days There’s a good look at sexual politics too in and out of marriage couples can take away from

Don Johnson and Susan Sarandon play long married

Don Johnson and Susan Sarandon play long married high school sweethearts whose marriage has gotten stale and Johnson moves out. All while his best friend played by Jeff Daniels is starting to get serious with his relationship with Elizabeth Perkins. I quite liked this film. It's mostly by the numbers and wraps up a bit too perfectly, but the stellar cast had me hooked.
