@FastrThnU - If people call you negative names long enough you'll start to believe it. Same with African Americans being called the N word. Now, they call each other that horrible name. At least "Indian" isn't so bad.

Native Americans call *themselves* indians. I go the the Phoenix Indian Medical Center, part of the IHS (Indian Health Service). White folks get more wound up about calling us Indians that we do ourselves. Yes, it was a mistake originally, but it's totally acceptable.
