This is a rare and privileged insight into the history of the music and artists known as Doo Wop singers and groups of the 1950's. There was firstly the era of that gutsy Soul era known as BLUES music and then came the sound that would change the history of modern music forever. From out of its R&B depths were created the MOTOWN Sound, the POP music of the white masses, the begininning of ROCK & ROLL - which opened out into ROCK Music and then the SOUL music that exploded on the scene and brought Black & White people together and it actually had RAP before Hip Hop and Rap were even heard of. I always called it STREETLIGHT SOUL but the media world gave it the name Doo Wop (a name not favoured by the actual artists of the genre). If you like music this is something you have to watch to round out your knowledge of musical roots. A brilliant way to spend an informative 1hr:23mins!
