Plot summary

"Stay," directed by Jas Summers, is a breathtaking cinematic experience that captivates the audience from start to finish. This film transcends traditional storytelling, weaving together elements of suspense, emotion, and profound reflection on human relationships. The performances are nothing short of extraordinary. The lead actors deliver powerful portrayals that resonate deeply, allowing viewers to connect with their struggles and triumphs. Summers’ direction is masterful. What did I just watch? This is one

What did I just watch? This is one of the most boring and dumb things that I’ve ever watched in my life, War of the worlds with Ice cube is more entertaining than this pile of garbage and nonsense.

The premise is a good idea, and the

The premise is a good idea, and the acting is not bad. The script is challenging and ambitious, but at times lacks clarity. Nevertheless, as a mostly one-location movie, the characters' development is the most pivotal element needed. Transforming a breakup story into a transcendental dark metaphor is a challenging goal. And here is where the direction missed more sensitivity, visual details, and timing. Since we are not emotionally invested in the couple as individuals or their relationship during the breakup, and we mainly witness "constant antagonistic communication" from the start, the storyline becomes increasingly flat, predictable and a little tedious. I am afraid that most of the audience has had difficult relational experiences in their lives, and it is not an enjoyable event to remember or witness. But it is a good effort.
