Plot summary

An unlikely friendship kindles between a struggling stand-up comedian from L.A. — forced to move back home to Eastern Long Island with his tail between his legs — and a tragically flawed, but charming and charismatic, alcoholic dermatologist. Discovering to be kindred spirits, each helps the other find healing, in addition to the confidence to face the "failures" in their lives.

It was delightful seeing Billy Crystal. I enjoy

It was delightful seeing Billy Crystal. I enjoy his wit. He’s a little bit of a downer in this movie, he has regrets. I don’t. This movie should be a warning about alternative states. It’s great to party but there’s a line you shouldn’t cross. Ben Schwartz is great in this movie. He is a doppelgänger for my nephew, who fortunately has a wife, a daughter and a job. All things missing from his characters life. The movie is pretty realistic except for the dermatology schtick. Dermatology is not something people settle for. It’s one of the hardest residencies to obtain. It’s very difficult to be a good dermatologist. You have to be really smart, and not hungover. I know because my daughter is a dermatologist.

If nothing else it's good to see Billy

If nothing else it's good to see Billy Crystal back in a movie. I'd never heard of this movie so it was quite surprising that I thought it was very good. A clever new telling of a yet oft told human story.
