Plot summary

A huge solar flare is predicted to fry the Earth. Astronauts aboard the spaceship Helios must go to the Sun to drop a bomb equipped with an Artificial Intelligence and a Japanese pilot at the right time so the flare will point somewhere else.

Oh man, from the sound of this story

oh man, from the sound of this story it sounded like it was the sort of thing i would love so i had to watch it... but i was sorely disappointed because this movie totally sucks! it was made just at that time when movies were becoming just formula driven crap and then things got only worse in the vaccum of the horrible 90s.
