Plot summary

Even in the harshest environments, firefighters must focus on extinguishing fires and rescuing everyone there. At 3:47 AM on March 4, 2001, the 119 emergency call center receives a phone call about a fire that has broken out in the Hongje-dong neighborhood. Firefighters, including newcomer Cheol-woong, rush to the scene.

Poor working conditions fire fighters had to face

This is a fairly watchable movie about rescue firefighters. The plight of poor equipment is highlighted. Also how illegal parking blocked firetrucks access to the fire zones. The middle part tries to humanize the characters by giving some back story to them. Finally the climax is the true story part which is quite sad. An arson took place and how the firemen went into the building unnecessarily.One problem - could not tell who was who when their masks were on and in the fires. The ending left me slightly unsure who lived.

Is this really the best way to honor the dedication and sacrifices of firefighters? It's truly frustrating.While the film's intent to highlight the bravery and sacrifice of firefighters is commendable, its execution falls short. The excessive melodrama and forced emotional appeals overshadow the real message, making it difficult for the audience to connect naturally. Instead of allowing viewers to empathize at their own pace, the film continuously bombards them with heavy-handed sentimentality, making the experience feel overwhelming rather than heartfelt.Additionally, key narrative elements are introduced but then quickly discarded, leaving unresolved plot points that dilute the impact of the story. A more restrained and nuanced approach could have made this a truly moving tribute, but instead, it feels like a missed opportunity that sacrifices depth for surface-level emotions.

Fantastic

Really worth to watch,at end very sad moment,that made you all cry..I am personally not fan of joo won,but know i realize,why he be consider top actor previously,all team and scene really made touching,super director,hope more people will appreciate the lover,after watch this fantastic movie,and be proud whatever you be,any people can be hero,if want itPersonally i quite shock,there have somebody rate 1,but every person have their own taste,for me,i will like promoted this movie,which have all emotional,first the are funny scene when movie starting,toward to the end ,made us thinks ,everyone must equally important for each of our sorounding. Firefighter...you are hero.
