Game for a laugh

A cheap mish-mash of genres. Obviously the main inspiration point is STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON, with an urban setting and main cast members aspiring black hip hop stars finding themselves battling rivals, gangsters and even themselves. Then we get the ultra-cheesy, self-knowing CGI monster spectacle of an Asylum movie, as a giant snake goes on the rampage and our would-be heroes have to stop it. It goes without saying that this is the kind of film that only fans will enjoy, although saying that it's not quite as bad as I was expecting. The snake scenes are terrible but the other humour isn't quite bottom of the barrel, and at least the cast are game for a laugh.
