Plot summary

Two college boys from SoCal attend a spring break vacation at a ski lodge in Idaho to get insider tips on how the president of the ski club manages to attract so many girls as a way to make amends to their girlfriends. Alongside this relatively simple endeavor are ice-skating polar bears, love triangles, musical numbers, and quick-switching in and out of drag to achieve the goal of discovering what went wrong in the boys' romantic lives.

Snow. Beach. What's the difference? The jokes are not quite infantile, the plot is worn, but the music makes it all worthwhile. Does every movie have to be life changing? Take the ride for an hour and a half when you don't feel like thinking or doing, just to alleviate the boredom.

A movie that was made for multiple spoofs

A movie that was made for multiple spoofs from The Simpsons. Quite frankly, it's a ludicrous film. Ludicrously conceived, written, acted, ludicrous. Now, is it good mindless fun from another era? I guess it could be. Might someone with above average intelligence and a fan of film find it atrocious? I think they probably would. In the end, all that matters is where your head is at and how much are you willing to tolerate.

Annette Funicello in a cameo as a college

Annette Funicello in a cameo as a college prof teaching "Fun Without Sex", Leslie Gore singing the all-time feel good song "Sunshine Lollipops", James Brown belting out "I Feel Good" at an aprés ski party, lots of booty shaking and surf rock, this movie is an intriguing snapshot of a bygone era. Lots of snowy mountain vistas and a plot that only a mother could love, this shines as a document of a place and time in Americana. Bobbi Shaw as the Swedish "Nita" went on to become a respected Hollywood acting coach.
