Plot summary

The Shamer's daughter, Dina, has unwillingly inherited her mother's supernatural ability. She can look straight into the soul of other people. When the sole heir to the throne is wrongfully accused of the horrible murders of his family, it is up to Dina to uncover the truth, but soon she finds herself whirled into a dangerous power struggle with her own life at risk.

I read the first two books in the

I read the first two books in the series before I saw the movie, and I personally feel like it could have followed the book closer without making the movie too long. I can only say good things about the book, and I recommend reading it, The movie i do have my problems with, but it is in the details and the few elements i feel is missing that could have made the movie a much better story, only adding 30 minutes to the movie, making it a 2 hour movie in total, The acting that is in the movie is okay, but the world they create is awesome and believable. The realism in "The shamers daughter" is close to the level of Harry potter, the special effects, the scenes and the costumes are amazing. The story runs a bit fast for my liking, but as a production in a small country like Denmark and a first movie in the series, I see potential and maybe an American remake in its future. If the 30 minutes of character and relationship building I would have liked to see were added I would have given it 5 stars, but I still think that the story is worth 3. Again if you enjoy stories like Harry potter. you shoud give this movie a watch or even read the books aswell.

Good acting, good script, good cinamatography, and good

Good acting, good script, good cinamatography, and good direction! This Danish story, set in a fictional feudal society is a really enjoyable watch. Two really good young female actresses!
