Weep at the failure of Alicia Silverstone to launch into forty. In this badly developed script, she fails to find her character. Instead she grimaces and shrieks to convey her grand angst. She acts like a bunch of green grapes. In the end, you wonder if you're not the one on mind altering substances.

The movie started out with an interesting premise. Two families meeting at the wedding, not getting time to meet beforehand. It was very similar to my wedding 44 years ago. The groom throws his family under the bus, to please his bride. A pretty common situation that sets up the conflict. The problem gets way out of control, to the point where I didn’t like any of the main characters. Typical for Hollywood they have to stick drugs and adultery in. That’s when I mercifully bailed. I was very disappointed because it could have been a very good movie.
