Plot summary

Blind and deaf sisters, Anna and Beth, live happily in a secluded small town with their father. However, when a neighbor stops by, Anna and Beth begin to realize their loving father's mental health has been deteriorating their entire lives.

A man lives with his two daughters in

A man lives with his two daughters in a small town. One sister is deaf. The other sister is blind. The girls become increasingly self-aware of their father's erratic behaviour, in particular his unjustified obsession with their health. The growing tension between the man and the siblings culminates in a tragic event. "Silence & Darkness" is a psychological thriller that cleverly uses the sisters' impairments to create an unnerving atmosphere. Despite its predictable plot, the movie succeeds in immersing the audience in the exceptional bond between the two sisters, who rely on their limited senses to survive their father's monstrosity. Poignant!

Anna is blind. Beth is deaf. Two sisters living in a secluded town with a father whose mental health is questionable. One of those films I love to find. Very unique in its compilation of themes. I adore the relationship between the two sisters, caring and codependent. They have their own language composed of hand gestures and are able to see movies, one translating the visual, the other, the aural. We are drawn to them as characters and the chilling answers to their situation affect us as well as them. highly recommended

Terrible title, decent film about blind and deaf

Terrible title, decent film about blind and deaf sisters who live isolated with their doctor father who cares for them. Overall production was pretty impressive. Definitely not uplifting.
