Plot summary

After Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans handyman and blues singer-songwriter Gabe Recolte was bereft. Left homeless and heartbroken, he had been forced to evacuate and relocate before he could tell club owner Hattie how much he cares for her.

At least the couples are moving their relationships

At least the couples are moving their relationships along. Minus 1 star for Kristin Booth's character disappear for a large portion of the movie. You can't break up the fab four of the DLO!

Easily one of my favourite SSD movies. Wonderful

Easily one of my favourite SSD movies. Wonderful story based around the terrible floods in Hurricane Katrina that reunites the amazing Keb Mo's character with his lost love plus Shane and Oliver's romance finally blossoms. A great watch!

Excellent Movie! 7 Stars from me!

I thought this was a good film because it wasn't the typical kind of Hallmark movie. I like the story line. It seems genuine! The acting was good as well. I'm sure a lot of people were missed from Hurricane Katrina. I don't even like to watch movies about devastation that much because sometimes they are based on true stories. It would be awful to have to go through something like that. So I don't have any clue how the Katrina survivors managed. So much of me has no interest in our history though and I like to move on from it. But this movie was emotionally touching because of story line, even though I believe it was made up. It was believable as a true story though. There were 3 separate relationship dynamics or more, so that was very cool. A part of me would love to do what the New Orleans native did in this movie, by waiting it out all those years for his true love. I don't know how I would have made it through 12 years. Good movie nonetheless!
