For those who are not sure it's A Chinese Ghost Story 1 in Cantonese language, you have subs in English.
so is this a chinese ghost story or the bride with white hair?
Man, what a movie. What a poster. I think this one just has everything in it. Drama, romance, horror, sword fights, Kung Fu, monsters. Name it and this movie does it and does it good. The sequels are all up to level, be it with lower budgets. Now, if you enjoyed this go to Lady With The White Hair and thank me later.

I watched this in a cinema in Sweden back in 87. It was brilliant. The effects are bit dated but the original still beats the recent re-make in all other aspects.
