It’s plot and action-driven, slight on motivations, but well-scripted and consistent as Jairo moves up the assassin food chain. A black portrait of a damaged society, Columbia in the midst of drug wars. Pretty interesting to look at economic inequality as a source of cyclical violence and I can respect the mood present in certain scenes but I'm not sure if the film entirely comes together for me. Entirely possible I'm missing some cultural context as an American here. I see that subtitles are available for request in this torrent, so .. well .. at least you'll have some help in that regard.
