Plot summary

One of a gang of karaoke loving middle aged women is murdered by a young man. Her friends track him down and kill him. His friends track them down and kill the killer and it escalates!

[font=Georgia]this movie is not really about karaoke...or terror for that matter. as far as i could tell is was about growing up (no matter what the age). . .and revenge. there is some singing, but not the cheesey kind of singing you would think to find with "karaoke" in the title. it's much more story than musical, and a good one at that. the cinematography is great, and the story plays out like that of a greek tragedy...but with prettier faces. ;) [/font] [font=Georgia]haha. after all is said and done (without spoilers, mind you) even though much could be predicted, there were many parts that were of great surprise. i would definately watch this again. it was pretty damn good.[/font]

It's the time when I say "oh I don't understand japanese filmmaking" Is it meant to be funny? Does it tell us something about mundane lives or anything at all? It's not comical but doesn't stir any opinion either. It's just lifeless.

A campy, gory and odd revenge story involving a group of young men who sing for fun at the pier and a group of middle-aged women all named Midori. This is your typical Japanese strangeness at it's best.
