Plot summary

Rin a young high school student is your everyday awkward girl who gets bullied by her fellow students. On her 16th birthday, Rin gets an unexpected surprise: she finds out that she is, on her father's side, a half-mutant.

This movie is batshit insane, in kind of a I-cant-stop-watching-this-train-wreck kind of way. Some nudity; and decent acting by the 3 main lead girls. (The instrument/claw girl, the armored girl, and the tentacle girl, that is.) The bad-guy villain kinda throws himself into the role as well despite the weirdness of it all. I've seen it twice now, not sure I'd see it again unless it's with the right group of friends.

Typical Japanese gore comedy. It's a lot of fun, if you don't mind excessive blood. For example, the various monster girls' super powers include developing an armadillo-like exoskeleton, an absorbed twin brother's head (which can change size), a chainsaw that comes out of the butt, samurai swords where nipples should be, and my favorite: boobs that shoot acid. There are some genuinely funny gags, surprisingly good acting (especially from Tak Sakaguchi), and silly fight scene choreography.
