Plot summary

In a small town in Anatolia, whose inhabitants possess various supernatural powers but still have to deal with ordinary problems, Cemal helps out in his father’s barbershop and, in his free time, acts as a football referee.

Roteiro muito criativo e angustiante. O sentimento de angústia aumenta ainda mais com a trilha sonora monótona e repetitiva, e também pelo fato de o filme ser em preto e branco. É um filme excêntrico e existencialista, com muitas questões filosóficas sobre a vida. O fato de as pessoas aceitarem os super-poderes de uma maneira natural e trivial leva o espectador a questionar se ter algum dom realmente vale a pena, ou simplesmente trata-se de um fardo a ser carregado pela vida inteira. Os super-poderes nada mais são do que os nossos sentimentos e percepções que nos traem a todo instante.
