Plot summary

An eccentric games inventor dies and leaves behind an inheritance worth hundreds of millions of dollars - which will only be given to the person or team, amongst his family and hired help, who wins a madcap scavenger hunt.

My all time favorite comedy!! Fantastic late 70’s

My all time favorite comedy!! Fantastic late 70’s early 80’s cast including freaking Meat Loaf!! Featured as the character Scum. Richard Benjamin is a howl as is the late, great Richard Mulligan who damn near steals the film.

I fully acknowledge that my review of this

I fully acknowledge that my review of this movie is, in part, based on nostalgia alone. I feel like I saw this movie a hundred times as a kid in the very early 80s. It must have been in constant rotation on HBO, Showtime, The Movie Channel, etc. That said, I love the whole cast. The movie is simple and ridiculous, and it drags just a little in the middle, around when they find the beehive, but finishes with a flurry in a madcap ending with all the stars together. Some of my friends and I still quote lines from this movie regularly “they killed Montclair!” or “for the true ice cream lover, there is only one flavor - Va-NILLLLL-a!” It’s always fun to watch this and see the sights of 1970s San Diego.
